Noel Gallagher says he was too hungover to do Poznan at Man City game

The Oasis frontman went viral for a clip from the stands at Craven Cottage

Noel Gallagher didn’t do the Poznań like every Manchester City fan around him on Saturday, but the Oasis frontman says he had a good reason for that: He was very hungover.

Footage of Gallagher went viral over the weekend, as City fans performed their trademark Poznań celebration — turning their backs, locking arms, and jumping up and down — at Craven Cottage during a 4-0 win at Fulham.

Every City fan engaged in the Poznań except the solitary Gallagher, who instead stood stone-faced amid all the commotion around him.

The moment was captured on X by The Athletic’s Daniel Taylor.

Liam Gallagher — never one to shy away from getting a jab in at his brother — made sure to describe Noel’s actions as “poor behavior.”

In an interview on talkSPORT, Gallagher defended his actions (or lack thereof), saying that he was physically incapable of joining his fellow City fans due to a big night on the town the previous evening.

“You don’t really know until you leave the ground and your phone explodes,” he said of the viral clip.

“I have to say, in my defense, on Saturday I was still feeling the effects of a rather spectacular night out. So even if I wanted to join in the Poznań, I don’t think I would have been able to.”
