No Steelers invited to NFLPA Rookie Premier

45 rookies are at the NFLPA Rookie Premier but none from the Steelers.

The NFLPA invited 45 rookies to the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premier this weekend. This is an opportunity for some of the most popular and marketable rookies from the 2023 NFL draft class to get a jumpstart and an education on the business side of being an NFL player.

More than two dozen business partners are at the event including Panini America who is the participating sponsor. Here is the full rundown of partners from the event page:

More than 25 NFLPA business partners will have the opportunity to engage with players in innovative ways during the multi-day event, with the goal of creating content for campaigns, marketing activations, and player-identified products. This year’s lineup of partners is headlined by Panini America, the presenting sponsor, as well as Fanatics, EA Sports, Pepsi, DraftKings, Procter & Gamble, and Matthew Berry of NBC Sports. A select group of brand partners will provide products, gifts, or services including Sleep Number, Juiced Bikes, Rock ‘Em Socks, True Fans Fine Jewelry, Hyperice, FedEx, OneTeam Partners, On The Mark, Pro Standard, Outerstuff, 500 Level, Homage, Fathead, iSlide, Keyscaper, Pets First, Sporticulture, Anheuser-Busch, Frito-Lay, Gatorade, and Modern Mirror.

Surprisingly, the Pittsburgh Steelers had no rookies invited to the event. It would have made sense to at a minimum send cornerback Joey Porter Jr., who promises to be hugely popular thanks to being a legacy pick for the Steelers.
