The Diamond Hogs return to the field for a single game against Missouri Valley representative Illinois State Redbirds.
This is the 13th meeting between the schools, with Arkansas leading the all-time series 9-4, dating back to 1950.
The last meeting was last year during Opening Weekend. The Hogs won the series, taking home the first two games, but only by a plus-6 margin, before the Redbirds took the final game of the series, 3-2. Arkansas was ranked No. 4.
The Redbirds are fresh off a series win against Arkansas State, winning the series’ first two games. Derek Salata threw six innings, striking out 12 batters in game two of the series. This was the team’s second series win,
