The Texas A&M pitching staff continued to roll on Friday night to begin the College Baseball Series held at Globe Life Field, the home of the reigning World Series Champions.

The Aggies (9-0) remained unbeaten with a 4-0 win against Arizona State (5-4). During the game, head coach Jim Schlossnagle acknowledged the heavy presence of the 12th Man.

Two home runs led Texas A&M to victory. Junior outfielder Braden Montgomery hit a 3-run blast to left-center field in the bottom of the first inning. Freshman OF Caden Sorrell tallied his first career collegiate homer with a solo shot to left in the fourth frame.

Redshirt sophomore left-handed pitcher Ryan Prager (3-0) earned the win by tossing 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit and 2 walks with 8 strikeouts. Senior LHP Evan Aschenbeck pitched the final 4.0 frames to record his second save, giving up 1 hit with 4 Ks.

The Aggies play USC on Saturday at 2 p.m. with junior RHP Tanner Jones on the bump. Texas A&M has a rematch with the Sun Devils on Sunday at 11 a.m. as sophomore LHP Justin Lampkin will start on the mound. The Aggies will attempt to get bragging rights against Arizona State, with the all-time series tied at one apiece.
