The Texas A&M baseball team is the last undefeated program in the Lone Star State following a shutout victory against Rhode Island on Friday night at Blue Bell Park.

The Aggies (14-0) beat the Rams (2-8) by a final score of 11-0 to begin the three-game series at Olsen Field in College Station. Meanwhile, head coach Jim Schlossnagle‘s former school TCU (13-1) lost 3-1 at Kansas on Friday.

Texas A&M scored 1 run in each of the first, fourth, fifth, seventh & eighth innings, 4 in the second and 2 in the third. The Aggies are unbeaten through 14 contests for the first time since 2015 and the fifth occurrence in team history.

Redshirt sophomore left-handed pitcher Ryan Prager (4-0) had another dominant performance on the bump, tossing two career-highs with 7.0 shutout innings & 13 strikeouts while allowing only 1 hit.

He earned his fourth straight win and has done so with jaw-dropping stats: 23.2 innings pitched, 9 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks, 40 strikeouts, .423 WHIP, 15.2 Ks per 9 IP & 13.3/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. That scoreless streak is the longest by a Texas A&M pitcher since at least 2000, per 12th Man Athletics.

The Aggies are not only the last unbeaten team in Texas, but they are also 1-of-2 undefeated programs left in college baseball with Florida State following losses by UC Irvine and the Horned Frogs on Friday. Texas A&M has beaten its opponents by an average of 8.5 runs per game with a staggering combined margin of win: 143-24.

The Aggies play Rhode Island on Saturday at 2 p.m.
