No. 5 Oregon keeps climbing up the USA TODAY AFCA Coaches poll

For the first time since the Stanford loss, Oregon is back into the Top 5 in the USA TODAY AFCA Coaches poll.

It took a few weeks, but Oregon has managed to climb back into the Top 5 of the USA TODAY AFCA Coaches poll.

The Ducks have been as high as No. 3, but after that overtime loss at Stanford, they dropped to No. 12. Now on a five-game winning streak and teams above them falling off, Oregon now sits at No. 5 in the poll.

The latest team to fall by the wayside is Oklahoma as it suffered its first loss of the season. The Sooners’ 27-14 loss at Baylor made room for the 9-1 Ducks to jump up a spot.

Ohio State remains just ahead of the Ducks at No. 4, even though Oregon won in Columbus earlier this season. Notre Dame, also 9-1, lurks just behind Oregon at No. 6.

Other than the Ducks, the only other Pac-12 school to crack the poll is Utah at No. 25. Coincidently, Oregon travels to face the Pac-12 South leaders in the Utes.
