No. 44 LSU men’s tennis prepares for a stretch of road matches against No. 59 Arkansas and No. 32 Ole Miss

LSU will face the Razorbacks on Friday and the Rebels on Sunday.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 44 LSU men’s tennis team is set to travel to No. 59 Arkansas and No. 32 Ole Miss for weekend matches. The Tigers will face the Razorbacks on Friday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Billingsley Tennis Center and then travel to compete against the Rebels on Sunday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salloum Tennis Center.

The Tigers roster currently holds No. 92 Chen Dong and No. 58 Ronnie Hohmann. In doubles Nick Watson and Stefan Latinovic are No. 48 in the rankings. Hohmann and Watson also land in the doubles rankings at No. 80.

LSU is on a two match win streak after defeating Alabama and Alcorn State on Sunday, March 26.

Scouting the Razorbacks 

Arkansas currently holds an overall 12-8 record, going 0-7 in conference play. Most recently, the Razorbacks fell to South Carolina. The last time the Tigers faced Arkansas was April 17, 2022, in Baton Rouge, with LSU winning 4-3.

Scouting the Rebels 

Ole Miss is 13-5 on the year with a 3-3 record in conference play. The Rebels most recently defeated Vanderbilt and are set to play South Carolina on Friday, March 31 ahead of their Sunday match against the Tigers. LSU last faced Ole Miss on March 13, 2022, in Baton Rouge, with LSU winning 5-2.

The Rebels’ Nikola Slavic is ranked No. 66 in singles and the pair Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt are ranked No. 62 in doubles play.
