One of the most important keys to recruiting at a high level and being one of the best teams in the country is being able to keep the talent that is in your geographic area close to home. That’s something that Dan Lanning has tried to do at Oregon with the Ducks, aiming to keep the top players up and down the West Coast close to home and bring them to Eugene.
One of the best players in the state of California during this cycle is currently eying that possibility, with 4-star linebacker Madden Faraimo cutting down his recruitment to four schools, keeping the Ducks in the mix.
Faraimo also included USC, Ohio State, and Notre Dame among his top schools.
Faraimo is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 38 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 4 linebacker in the nation. He is also rated as the No. 3 player in the state of California.
Currently, the Ducks have the No. 12 class in the 2025 cycle, and are currently standing in a great position to add to that with some very highly-rated players going forward.
