No. 22 Tennessee defeated Furman, 6-1, Friday at Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
“Our team showed some resiliency today as we competed outdoors in cold temperatures against a good Furman program,” Tennessee head coach Alison Ojeda said. “They got up on us early in doubles and instead of us getting frustrated and overplaying, we stepped up and performed at a level that allowed us to come back and win the doubles point.”
