No. 2 Notre Dame moved to 8-0 on the 2020 season with a 45-23 win over Boston College. Five instant takeaways from the victory right here.

Notre Dame Giveth, Notre Dame Taketh Away

Are the ESPY’s still a thing in this pandemic-world we’re living in?  If they are (awards shows are dumb, FYI), I feel fairly confident in saying Saturday’s Notre Dame vs. Boston College affair won’t we a finalist for 2020’s “Best Game”.

Notre Dame’s ball security left a lot to be desired Saturday as the Irish coughed up three fumbles but it wasn’t like Boston College was impressive as they had a couple of brutal turnovers themselves at huge points in the contest, right when you thought the Eagles were going to make things interesting.

Kyren Williams didn’t play from roughly the midpoint of the second quarter on due to what the ABC broadcast reported as a coaches decision, not an injury.

One may link that to him losing another fumble.

It’s good that it all happened against Boston College, but with road trips to North Carolina and Wake Forest and their high-powered offenses to come, you can’t be in the business of giving possessions away.
