The Oregon Ducks put the finishing touches on their historic 2024 recruiting class earlier this week by officially signing 5-star wide receiver Gatlin Bair, but when head coach Dan Lanning spoke on signing day, he was the most excited about how hot of a start the Ducks were on when it comes to the 2025 class.
It’s hard to blame him, too. The Ducks already have the No. 12 class in the nation for 2025, and they are seemingly in a great position for several of the top-ranked prospects in the nation. One of those top-ranked prospects — 4-star EDGE Nasir Wyatt — is now trending to commit to the Ducks when all is said and done.
Earlier this week, a pair of Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports analysts Steve Wiltfong and Greg Biggins came in for Oregon to land the elite defender from Mater Dei in California.
Wyatt is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 27 overall player in the class, and the No. 2 EDGE in the nation.
Oregon has been heavily recruiting Wyatt for over a year now, and he was on campus earlier this winter with one of the most elite group of prep prospects we’ve ever seen in Eugene. He would be right at home in Eugene, where former Mater Dei stars Aydin Breland and Jack Ressler signed with the Ducks this past cycle.
