No. 12 Oregon Ducks vs. BYU Cougars Phil Knight Invitational preview, prediction, and odds

The Ducks will be looking to put on a show in their first nationally televised game of the year vs. BYU on Tuesady. Here’s everything you need to know about the matchup.

Oregon Game Plan

After a season-opening game where they came out and launched three-pointers at a high volume, the Ducks settled in a bit in their second game of the season against SMU and shot an efficient 51% from the floor, and 45% from beyond the arc.

Of course, that will always be the plan for Oregon, but they will definitely look to benefit from some size down low to be successful in this one. BYU has a few big bodies in a pair of 6-foot-11 centers, Atiki Ally Atiki and Richard Harward.

If Franck Kepnang can have another solid game and make sure to finish when he is in the paint, Oregon will likely find success. The backcourt and litany of guards are proficient enough at scoring that Oregon shouldn’t be too afraid if this game gets to be a shootout.
