No. 10 Lady Vols suffer first SEC loss.

No. 22 Kentucky (8-7, 6-1 SEC) defeated No. 10 Tennessee (16-2, 7-1 SEC), 25-20, 26-24, 27-25, Sunday in Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

The Wildcats avenged a loss earlier this season to Tennessee in Lexington, Kentucky. The loss ended the Lady Vols’ 11-match winning streak.

Morgahn Fingall had a match-high 16 kills. She also recorded seven digs, two assists and two blocks. Erykah Lovett totaled 14 digs, eight digs and one block.

Jenaisya Moore finished with nine kills for the Lady Vols.

Caroline Kerr was Tennessee’s leading passer as she posted 34 assists. She also recorded a service ace. Yelianiz Torres, a libero and graduate student, recorded seven digs and five assists.
