It has been quiet lately on the college football recruiting front due to the current quiet period that ends on Jan. 12 but things are already starting to heat up for [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] and the Florida Gators as one of the best recruits in the 2024 cycle announced his top six schools via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Four-star offensive tackle [autotag]Kam Pringle[/autotag] out of Dorchester (South Carolina) Woodland gave a nod to the Orange and Blue in his tweet while also including his home-state South Carolina Gamecocks, Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers and North Carolina State Wolfpack among the finalists.

The 6-foot-8-inch, 340-pound lineman has been in the crosshairs of the Gators dating back to the [autotag]Dan Mullen[/autotag] era and Napier picked up right where he left off, hosting the student-athlete back in November. Pringle came away from that visit with a good impression of what is going on in the Swamp.
“It’s been good vibes from the new staff,” Pringle told Swamp247. “They came by my school twice this past spring and they have been recruiting me hard. Coach (Rob) Sale was actually just on the phone with me a bit ago giving me a hard time about texting back and getting on the phone with him more often. They make sure to let me know I am a priority for them and a top-of-the-board guy for them in 2024 at tackle. They want to get me down there to be a Gator.”
Pringle is ranked No. 46 overall and No. 1 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 consensus has him at Nos. 40 and 1, respectively. South Carolina currently holds a pair of crystal ball predictions from 247Sports for the high school junior with On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine agreeing to the tune of a 39.2% chance of landing him; the Gators are fourth in the RPM with a 9% chance.
