The Oregon Ducks are riding high right now, and it doesn’t appear that they are planning to stop any time soon.
After blowing out the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday, 38-9, the Ducks kept their No. 1 ranking in the nation with a trip to the Big House in Ann Arbor on tap for Week 10.
On top of that, Oregon picked up a big-time recruiting prediction over the weekend, with On3’s Steve Wiltfong logging a pick for Dan Lanning and the Ducks to flip Washington Huskies‘ 4-star tight end Vander Ploog.
Ploog, who was in Eugene for a visit during the Illinois game, is a 4-star pass-catcher who is rated as the No. 242 player in the 2025 class, and the No. 12 TE in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Ploog is also the fifth-ranked player in Washington’s current recruiting class.
The Ducks currently have the No. 9 class in the 2025 cycle, headlined by a trio of 5-star players in WR Dakorien Moore, WR Dallas Wilson, and CB Brandon Finney.
