The No. 1 seeded Oklahoma Sooners will look to bounce back from the championship game loss in the Big 12 tournament to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls in the opener of the Norman regional of the NCAA tournament. The Sooners will host Prairie View A&M (20-27, 19-6 SWAC) on Friday.
The Sooners started the Big 12 tournament off strong with a 6-0 shutout of Iowa State, but were unable to get much going offensively in the Big 12 championship game, falling to the Cowgirls in extra innings. It was only their second loss of the season, which didn’t keep the Sooners from hanging onto the NCAA tournament’s No. 1 seed.
