Given the inability to host players and show off campuses in person, NCAA coaches are instead turning to virtual meetings to reach their top prospects. We already knew that 2020 5-star combo guard Karim Mane visited Michigan State (digitally) this week to speak with Tom Izzo, and we now know of another top prospect who visited the team in this manner. According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, the No. 1 ranked shooting guard in the 2021 class, 5-star Max Christie, visited MSU through a virtual conference to discuss his recruitment.
Villanova’s Jay Wright and his staff will conduct an in-home virtual visit with five-star junior Max Christie today, he told @Stockrisers.
Christie also said he had virtual calls with Michigan State, Virginia, Northwestern and Ohio State.

Christie, who comes from Rolling Meadows, Illinois, was already on campus back in March so he is well-acquainted with the program. The No. 13 ranked player in the 2021 class according to 247sports, Christie is currently projected to attend Duke but if the Spartans can land his commitment it would be a major coup on the recruiting front.
