Nico Mannion leaving Warriors, signing with Virtus Bologna in Italy’s Serie A

After one season with the Golden State Warriors, 2020 second-round pick Nico Mannion is signing with Virtus Bologna in Italy’s Serie A.

Following one season with the Golden State Warriors after being drafted with a second-round pick out of Arizona in 2020, Nico Mannion is on his way to Italy.

According to Jordan Schultz of ESPN, the 20-year-old guard is leaving the Warriors to sign with Virtus Bologna in Italy’s Serie A.

Mannion’s move to Italy comes one day after the Warriors reportedly came to an agreement with free agent guard Chris Chiozza for one of Golden State’s two-way contracts. Mannion played his rookie season with the Warriors on a two-way deal.
