The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring Colts offensive coordinator, Nick Sirianni, to become the team’s next head coach.

The 39-year-old Sirianni has quickly ascended up the coaching ranks, but make no mistake, this hire is less about him being the next Sean McVay, and more about his ability to coach Carson Wentz back to an elite standing.

Sirianni’s experience is vast and in addition to serving as the Colts’ offensive coordinator the last three years, he also brings experience as a quarterbacks coach, and as a wide receivers coach.

Most importantly, Sirianni, along with head coach Frank Reich, have gotten positive results and quality quarterback play from Andrew Luck, Jacoby Brissett, and Philip Rivers.

Making Sirianni more impressive is the fact that all three quarterbacks during his time in Indianapolis offered different attributes and traits.

Sirianni’s top priority will be reviving Carson Wentz’s career while bringing some innovation and creativity to the Eagles offensive scheme.
