The Reds opened a three-game series with a 7-5 win versus San Diego Friday at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Former Vol Nick Senzel entered the game as a pinch hitter and remained in the contest playing right field. He went 0-for-2 and scored one run in the contest.
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16 and earned All-Southeastern Conference performer and All-American honors.
He was selected by the Reds with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft. Senzel came to the Vols from Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee.
Cincinnati continues its three-game series against the Padres Saturday. First pitch is slated for 1:40 p.m. EDT.
