CINCINNATI — Nick Senzel did not start Monday night.
He did, however, enter as a pinch hitter for the Cincinnati Reds in their 6-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ball Park.
Senzel remained in the game and picked up an additional at-bat in the contest for Cincinnati, which is in the thick of a playoff chase.
Senzel went 0-for-2 and is now batting .203.
The former University of Tennessee standout was the No. 2 overall pick by the Reds in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.
He was an All-State performer for Farragut High School, a Class AAA powerhouse program in the Volunteer State.
