In Week 4, Alabama saw several of its key players suffer injuries. Two of the players that were sidelined during the game were linebacker Deontae Lawson and offensive guard Terrence Ferguson. On Wednesday, Alabama head coach Nick Saban mentioned that both players were unable to practice on Wednesday and are “very questionable” for this weekend’s matchup against Mississippi State.
Lawson and Ferguson both suffered ankle injuries in Alabama’s Week 4 win against Ole Miss.
Lawson starts at MIKE linebacker and is in charge of defensive alignment. Through four games, Lawson recorded 26 tackles and two sacks.
Ferguson was a reserve offensive guard but entered the game after starting right guard Darrian Dalcourt suffered an apparent injury. It was not long after Ferguson came into replace Dalcourt that he too was injured.
Needless to say, the Crimson Tide will likely be without two key contributors against the Bulldogs.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to provide the latest injury updates and news surrounding the Alabama football program.
