Nick Saban gives update on several injured defenders

Injury updates on Will Anderson, Josh Jobe, and Jayln Armour-Davis

No. 1 Alabama will travel to Gainseville this weekend to take on No. 9 Florida. The Tide was able to take care of FCS opponent Mercer without several of the key starting defenders this past Saturday, but the Alabama defense will need to be as close to full force as possible before making the trip to face the Gators.

Head coach Nick Saban spoke to the media on Monday and provided the following injury updates.

  • Will Anderson is currently day-to-day, but the staff is more “encouraged” than they were after the game on Saturday.
  • Starting corners Josh Jobe and Jayln Armour-Davis, who missed Saturday’s contest against Mercer, will be back at practice today (Monday) and the staff will see how they progress throughout the week.

Having Anderson, Jobe, and Armour-Davis available for Alabama’s trip to Gainesville will be huge for Pete Golding and the defense.
