The New Orleans Saints shut down Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.
The 9-0 loss marked the third time the GOAT had been shut out in 313 NFL starts. It snapped a streak of 255 games when Brady had not been blanked.
In fact, the last time a team Brady quarterbacked was blanked, Nick Saban was coach of the Miami Dolphins.

The first game saw Travis Henry score two touchdowns while rushing 27 times for 89 yards.
Buffalo’s quarterback was Drew Bledsoe, yes that Drew Bledsoe. The man Brady replaces was 17-of-28 for 230 yards and a TD.
Brady, meanwhile, went 14-of-28 for 123 yards and 4 picks in the opening game of the season. He was sacked twice for 20 yards.
Takeo Spikes had a pair of interceptions, Nate Clements had one and the other went to Sam Adams for a 37-yard pick-six.
Buffalo’s coach that year was Gregg Williams, who would go on to have a different kind of stigma during his time with the New Orleans Saints.
On Dec. 10, 2006, the Miami Dolphins stymied Brady and the Patriots.
Miami came into the game 5-7 and New England was 9-3. No way for Saban to treat his close friend Bill Belichick. It was Saban’s last year as a head coach in Miami and the NFL.
Brady was 12-of-25 for 78 yards. He was sacked 4 times for 20 yards in losses.
The opposing quarterback was Joey Harrington, who went 18-of-30 for 190 yards and a TD pass.
Sammy Morris was the force, rushing 25 times for 123 yards.
That brings us to Sunday when the GOAT was stymied by a power New Orleans defense.
Brady was 26-of-48 for 213 yards with a pick in an overall dismal evening.
