The 2022 NHL Draft had so many twists and turns on Thursday, from the surprising Alex DeBrincat trade to the Ottawa Senators beforehand to Juraj Slafkovsky going No. 1 overall to the Canadiens.
But we’re here to talk about the man who was the best dressed by far on the night (no, not the Arizona Coyotes’ front office that wore matching suits).
Meet Isaac Howard.
He was the American player taken No. 31 overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning, a pick that got a grade of “B” from our NHL expert Mary Clarke who graded every pick Thursday night.
But he gets an A+ for his fit and his quotes.
The dude wore turtleneck, chain and an American flag belt buckle with a WHITE SUIT! My goodness.
That’s not all. After he was taken by the Lightning, we all found out his nickname is Ice Man, and he said this:
“I think I’m the best-looking guy here, so I decided to be the best-dressed, too. There’s not a whole lot of that in hockey sometimes, so there’s no reason to try to change the culture a little bit and get some more fashion in.”
HECK. YEAH. Ice Man has cometh and he’s wearing a chain. More of this, please.
