Ngata signs with NFL practice squad, keeps pro dream alive

A former Clemson wide receiver is signing with an NFL practice squad after being waived by the same team.

Former Clemson wide receiver Joseph Ngata is singing with the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad, the Eagles announced Wednesday.

Playing in all three preseason games this year, Ngata finished with six receptions for 75 yards. With the move, he keeps his NFL dreams alive and has a chance at being elevated to the active roster throughout the season.

Playing in 45 games at Clemson from 2019-2022, Ngata finished with 88 receptions for 1,287 yards and six touchdowns. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Eagles in April.

Another former Tiger, safety K’Von Wallace, was waived by the Eagles and claimed by the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday.
