Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen set for ‘next decade.’

It’s always nice to see the praises of Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Buffalo waited a much too extensive amount of time for a QB to cement himself as their franchise signal caller.

So why pass up an opportunity when more praise is sent the way of Buffalo and their QB?

NFL.com recently went through and broke down the quarterback position for every team in the league. The Bills landed under the category of the future being bright:

Josh Allen took a massive leap in 2020, meshing perfectly with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll in Year 3. The Pro Bowler finished fifth in passing yards and posted a 37:10 TD-to-INT ratio and a 107.2 passer rating (fourth among all NFL passers). Allen would have had a legitimate MVP case in a season not dominated by Aaron Rodgers, and he’s now positioned firmly as the Bills’ franchise quarterback and the face of Buffalo. Should he continue at this pace, the Bills won’t have to address the position for the next decade.

En route to breaking out, Allen helped the Bills win their first AFC East title in 25 years and got the team to within one game of the Super Bowl in 2020. The Bills and Allen will look to breakout even further in 2021… all the way to the championship, if they can.

Prior to that, the Bills might be looking to finish up that “decade” part of this breakdown as well. Allen might be in line for a long-term extension as early as this offseason, according to general manager Brandon Beane.
