NFL Wild-Card Awards: This Tommy Brady sign is the saddest sign of the weekend

The good, the bad, the sad, and the hilarious from the weekend.

Well, Wild-Card Weekend sure lived up to its name as three road teams advanced with wins, the Texans rallied and then won an overtime thriller, and a couple of legendary quarterbacks were sent home to ponder their futures.

Yup, Tom Brady and Drew Brees were both eliminated with 24 hours of each other, as Brady lost to the Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans and Drew Brees lost to Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings after not even getting a chance to have the ball in OT.

The Texans, Titans, Vikings and Seahawks live to see another day and will play in the divisional round next week.

Let’s look back at the good, the bad, and the hilarious from the weekend:

Saddest sign about a legendary QB: This Tommy Brady sign in New England.

It was a sad night in New England, as Brady might have played his last game with a franchise in which he has made the greatest in all of sports. This sad “PLEASE STAT TOMMY” sign in the rain is maybe the saddest sign I’ve ever seen.

The most Dallas Cowboys move ever: Officially parting ways with Jason Garrett during the Eagles game.

Jerry Jones just couldn’t help himself with this one. Yeesh.

The worst cheap shot: Jadeveon Clowney.

This helmet-to-helmet hit by Clowney in the first quarter didn’t get flagged but it did knock Carson Wentz out of the game for good and pretty much ended Philly’s chances.

The best postgame celebration: Kirk Cousins.

What an overtime preformance by Cousins and what a special moment for the QB afterward.

The most confusing decision by a QB: Josh Allen.

Allen fell apart down the stretch of the Bills’ loss to the Texans and I still have no idea why he tried to do this with 1:10 left in the game.

The worst job of getting the ball to a running back: This one by Carson Wentz.

Wentz was lucky to get that ball back, but that pretty much sums up the Eagles’ performance against the Seahawks.

The best job of trolling Tom Brady: Taylor Lewan.

The Titans’ offensive tackle had some fun with Tom Brady’s hype video after Tennessee beat the Patriots on Saturday night.

The best pregame speech: J.J. Watt.

Watt not only returned to action on Saturday, but he made some big plays for the Texans in their win over Buffalo. He also did a great job of firing up his guys.

The best job of saying goodbye to an away crowd: D.K. Metcalf.

The Seahawks’ wide receiver said some polite goodbyes after hauling in a long catch that sealed the victory for Seattle.

The best Marshawn Lynch moment: This one.

It’s great to have Beast Mode back. He just tossed that DB!
