Week 8 of the NFL season is nearly in the books and it certainly packed a ton of surprises — perhaps none bigger than all of the backup quarterbacks who came through to win games for their teams. With surprises, however, comes overreactions. After all, how does one ignore what their own eyes saw, when it comes to how good or bad a team looks in a given week.
But one thing the NFL has shown us over the years is that your eyes can be deceived, matchups mean everything, and sometimes teams just don’t have it. Below, I go through some of the possible overreactions from Week 8 and why they don’t hold up.
