NFL Top 100: Bobby Wagner voted 29th-best player entering 2022

Bobby Wagner once again cracked the top 30 on the NFL’s Top 100 Players list, coming in at No. 29

Bobby Wagner has been viewed as one of the best linebackers in the NFL for a long time, going all the way back to 2014 when he earned his first Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro nod. He enjoyed a decorated career with the Seahawks, which included a Super Bowl win, but he’s now chasing a second ring with the Rams.

As a show of his longevity and how highly touted he is around the NFL, Wagner was once again voted one of the top 100 players in football. Wagner checked in at No. 29 on the NFL’s top 100 list this year, his sixth straight appearance and the seventh of his career. Wagner came in at No. 25 last year after being 13th in 2020.

He was surprisingly released by the Seahawks this offseason, which led to his arrival in Los Angeles – the city where he was born and raised. He’s poised to be the leader of the Rams’ defense, taking over signal-calling duties and likely playing every defensive snap each week.

Despite being on the wrong side of 30, Wagner remains a playmaker at linebacker. He had 170 tackles in 16 games last season, adding one interception, five passes defensed and a sack.

Behind Aaron Donald and on a defense that also features Jalen Ramsey and Leonard Floyd, Wagner could be in for one of his best seasons yet.
