NFL reinstates Jacksonville Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley was reinstated by the NFL and starts a new chapter with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After serving a one-year suspension, the NFL has reinstated Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver, Calvin Ridley.

The last time Ridley played football was in October of 2021 as a member of the Atlanta Falcons. He then decided to take some time away from football to focus on mental health and didn’t return during the 2021 season.

On March 7, 2022, Ridley was suspended one year by the NFL for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Ridley missed the entire 2022 season due to the gambling suspension, but on November 1, 2022,  the Jaguars traded away a fourth and sixth-round pick to land his services. Ridley applied for reinstatement on February 15, 2023, and was officially reinstated today!

The former Crimson Tide star will be returning to the NFL as a member of the Jaguars, a team that won its division last season and is getting better each year with Trevor Lawrence. Ridley may be the player that puts them into AFC Championship contention.
