NFL power rankings: Eagles make a statement on ‘Sunday Night Football’

Do you agree with our NFL power rankings going into Week 8?

The Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) made a statement with a 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins (5-2) on Sunday Night Football, establishing themselves as one of the teams to beat not just in the NFC but in the entire NFL. Philly’s still not No. 1 in our power rankings, though.

Elsewhere in the AFC East, the New England Patriots (2-5) upset the slumping Buffalo Bills (4-3). In the AFC North, the division is looking extremely competitive after the Baltimore Ravens (5-2), Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) and Cleveland Browns (4-2) all won on Sunday.

In the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2) have emerged as the clear favorites to win the division. In the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs (6-1) also have a commanding lead.

Over in the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys (4-2) are trying to keep pace with the Eagles. In the NFC North, the Detroit Lions (5-2) remain the clear team to beat.

In the NFC South, the Atlanta Falcons (4-3) have a slight lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) and New Orleans Saints (3-4). In the NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers (5-1) are the top dog, but the Seattle Seahawks (4-2) are not far behind.

The Cowboys (4-2), Carolina Panthers (0-6), New York Jets (3-3), Cincinnati Bengals (3-3), Houston Texans (3-3) and Tennessee Titans (2-4) all had byes in Week 7.

The 49ers (5-1) and Minnesota Vikings (2-4) are still yet to play on Monday Night Football, but here are our NFL power rankings after (almost) seven weeks of action.
