The San Francisco 49ers have now won 12 games in a row. Their latest victims are the Dallas Cowboys, who have been sent home yet again before the conference championship round. That’s where the Niners are going after handing Dallas a 19-12 defeat in Santa Clara on Sunday evening.
Robbie Gould did most of the scoring for San Francisco, going 4/4 on his field goal attempts and remaining perfect in the playoffs. Christian McCaffrey did the rest, scoring the 49ers’ only touchdown against a stout Cowboys defense. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott’s turnover issues continued to haunt him. He threw two interceptions in the loss and barely cracked 200 total passing yards.
This makes it the third time in four years that the Niners have reached the NFC Championship game. It speaks to their level of talent despite not having a great QB as well as being one of the most well-coached teams in the league.
