While the Tennessee Titans won’t be able to wrap-up the AFC South in Week 15, they could clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Detroit Lions and some help from other teams.
On Wednesday, the NFL shared the scenarios in which the Titans can earn a spot in the playoffs this week. Remember, the Titans need just one of the following scenarios to unfold:
1. Titans win and the Baltimore Ravens (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars) lose.
2. Titans win and Las Vegas Raiders (vs. Los Angeles Chargers) lose or tie, and the Miami Dolphins (vs. New England Patriots) lose, and the Cleveland Browns (at New York Giants) win or tie.
3. Titans win and Raiders lose or tie, and the Dolphins lose, and Titans or Browns clinch strength of victory over the Dolphins.
Granted, there’s a lot that needs to happen there for the Titans to clinch, but never say never.
Here’s a look at the entire list of playoff-clinching scenarios in Week 15:

As far as the division is concerned, things are razor-thin for Tennessee there. If the Titans can beat the Lions, they’ll remain in first place no matter what happens with the Indianapolis Colts versus the Houston Texans.
However, should the Titans lose and the Colts win, Indy would take over first place in the AFC South.
According to the New York Times, the Titans’ playoff chances are very good. Tennessee has a 94 percent chance to make the playoffs and a 64 percent chance to win the division.
We’ll take those odds all day everyday, and twice on Sunday. The Titans will look to secure their first double-digit win season since 2008 when they host the Lions on Sunday.
