NFL players lost it over Deshaun Watson’s magical sack escape

This is one of the wildest highlights of the season.

At the end of a wild and unpredictable wild card game between the Bills and Texans that seemed like it could be heading for a second overtime period, Deshaun Watson set up a game-winning field goal for Houston with one of the most unbelievable plays of his spectacular career.

On a 2nd-and-6 play from the Buffalo 44-yard line, the Bills blitzed Watson and seemed to have produced a major loss that would knock the Texans well out of field-goal range. Instead, Watson somehow remained standing despite taking two massive hits, then scrambled out of trouble and hit Taiwan Jones for a 34-yard pass.

The play put the Texans into a chip-shot field goal range, and Bill O’Brien opted to kick a field goal on first down rather than push for a touchdown. Kaimi Fairbairn hit the game-winner from 28 yards to send Houston to the divisional round.
