It would appear that after two years of making adjustments to offseason and in-season procedures because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Football League will be back to normal this year.
As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league and the NFLPA announced they agreed to suspend all COVID-19 protocols, meaning a return to pre-pandemic procedures.
There will be no more required testing for COVID-19 unless team physicians deem it needed. Masking will no longer be required in team facilities. Players, coaches and staff no longer will need to wear trackers and there will no longer be monitoring of activities outside of the facility.
Essentially, things are back to normal.
This means a full offseason program and it could mean a regular training camp where fans can get close to players again and get autographs. It hopefully also signals the return of reporters in locker rooms for in-person interviews.
