And there it is. The announcement that many suspected was coming. The NFL has put out a memorandum prohibiting draft prospect visits to try and help protect everyone from the spread of the coronavirus.

The memo reads that no team may host a player for pre-draft visits OR travel to any location including a college campus to visit with any draft prospect.
The only contact teams may have with draft prospects is either over the phone or via videoconferencing. That should allow teams to conduct the interview portions, but if they would like to see the prospect perform any kind of workout, they’d have to get creative.
Up to this point, it was individual clubs that were deciding how they wanted to proceed. But as with most things like this, those teams who opted to play it safe shouldn’t then be at a disadvantage in the draft process to those teams who opted not to.
And, of course, the prospects must be protected from the amount of human contact they would be subjected to from the typical amount of flights they must take to meet with teams.
