NFL news: #Chiefs’ Travis Kelce is questionable to play in Thursday opener

The Chiefs might be without one of the best players in the NFL in their season opener against the Lions.

The two teams will open the 2023 NFL season as the league’s Thursday Night Football matchup as the Bills did last year against the Rams.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, Travis Kelce had an injury scare on Tuesday. According to Chiefs Wire, the All-Pro tight end suffered a knee injury during that day’s workout.

The ensuing day on Wednesday saw the Chiefs label Kelce officially as questionable to play.

As a player who will be rostered in 100 percent of fantasy football leagues across the world, Kelce’s name will be watched by many.

Bills fans will likely have an extra eye on that, too.

As a top foe of the Bills in recent memory, Kelce would be a huge loss. Yes, Patrick Mahomes is still the Chiefs’ quarterback, but Kelce is just as game changing of a player.

Kelce could be the difference between winning and losing for the Chiefs… and one win or loss could make all the difference when the playoff picture starts to come together later on in 2023.
