On Friday, another twist to the saga for everyone’s favorite former non-Buffalo Bills wide receiver. As was expected, the free agent has been officially suspended by the NFL. According to reports, the league handed Brown a lofty eight-game suspension due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
Brown has had many twists and turns with the NFL in recent memory. It kind of started with the Bills. Much of Bills Mafia will remember the few hours the Bills “traded for” the then-former Steelers receiver. The leaked news eventually never happened and Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane went on to say… sure, he had some conversations, but the deal wasn’t close to happening.
After his… connections… to the Bills, Brown went to the Raiders, to the Patriots, to… being out of the NFL due to several off-field incidents in recent years that made many Bills observers feel like the club dodged a bullet. Among those includes a battery charge Brown recently pleaded no contest to, which landed him a lengthy probation sentence.
Unfortunately for Brown, this may not be the end of discipline from the NFL. The legal buck doesn’t stop with the battery charges, as Brown still faces a sexual misconduct lawsuit, as NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero explains:
Antonio Brown's next hearing in the civil suit — related to sexual harassment and sexual assault allegations levied by his former trainer — is scheduled for Sept. 15, shortly after Week 1. https://t.co/FqHeR1YZdo

If the eight-game suspension is upheld, or added to, by the league, this could be the end of the road for Brown in the NFL. Brown, 32, recently said he retired again from the league as well. There was some speculation Brown had suitors such as Seattle and Tampa Bay, but those could be longshots now.
