NFL Network’s Adam Rank predicts a 6-10 record for Giants in 2020

NFL Network analyst Adam Rank broke down the New York Giants’ schedule game-by-game and predicted a 6-10 record.

The New York Giants’ recent draft hauls have, unfortunately, been more exciting than their play the past few seasons.

Hopefully, the Giants get better as they continue to stock pile top draft picks on their roster. With the Daniel Jones era now upon us and a brand new coaching staff there have been a few who think the team could be playoff bound in 2020.

Among the Big Blue believers are two hosts from NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” Nate Burleson and Kyle Brandt — both of whom expect big things from the Giants in 2020.

NFL insider Adam Rank does not share that belief. The Giants, of course, went 4-12 last season and have a long hill to climb before getting back to the Super Bowl contenders that the fans hope for.

Rank went through the Giants’ 2020 regular season schedule and predicted their record. He has the Giants starting off 0-6, which could be a tough pill for Giants fans to swallow. Rough starts have been all too familiar for Big Blue the last couple of years, starting 1-8 in 2017 and 1-7 in 2018.

Following the 0-6 start, Rank predicts Big Blue will rattle off three straight wins against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins. Rank also has the Giants getting wins against the Cincinnati Bengals (Week 12), Arizona Cardinals (Week 14) and the Cleveland Browns (Week 15) in Odell Beckham Jr.’s return to MetLife Stadium.

If Rank’s predictions hold true, the Giants will win a few of the more intriguing matchups on their schedule.

The Giants have some talent on their roster, especially on the offensive side of the football. There are still glaring needs on the roster and most believe that the Giants are still at least a year away from competing. However, the roster is youthful to say the least and it will be interesting to see what the new coaching staff can lead the Giants to in 2020 and beyond.
