The 2023 season is an important one for Deshaun Watson, who was once credibly accused of sexual misconduct by more than 20 women in what the NFL would later characterize as “predatory behavior.”
In his debut year with the Cleveland Browns, Watson was arguably the NFL’s worst starting quarterback. At times, he looked like a shell of the player we saw light defenses up with the Houston Texans. To open 2023 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Watson … didn’t look much better.
Especially on this horrendous interception that might already be the worst pick for any quarterback all season. I don’t know what happened — did it get tipped? Did Watson think he had a free play — but there’s no excuse for this thoroughly embarrassing duck.

Man. I don’t know how you could possibly defend that play if you’re Watson. That’s a throw he’s going to want to replay in a tight battle against an important divisional opponent. Unfortunately for him, we’ll probably replay the pick for the next five months, wondering how and why the ball left his hand in the first place.
