The New York Jets are currently leading the New England Patriots and if they’re going to hold on and win the game they need to not make any more classic New York Jets moves like they did on a FG attempt in the fourth quarter.
After Cam Newton slipped on a 3rd-and-1 at the Jets’ 10 yard line the Patriots, trailing by 10 points with just under nine minutes left in the game, opted to kick a field goal.
The Jets then got called for 12 guys on the field before the kick and the Patriots got a fresh set of downs inside the 10 yard line. The Jets got lucky in that the Patriots didn’t score TD and settled for a field goal but still, that was a bad penalty to take.
