We didn’t have to wait long into Day 2 to hear Jonathan Taylor‘s name come off the draft board as the Indianapolis Colts chose him with the No. 41 overall pick.
The Twitter discussion surrounding Taylor didn’t start with his selection, as Sam Dekker tried to let teams know when the round started what they may be passing on by not selecting Taylor.
I swear people are over thinking this… @JayT23 is really good at football

The Detroit Lions didn’t listen to what Dekker had to say and took Georgia running back D’Andre Swift at No. 35.
Another running back off the board and his name isn't Jonathan Taylor. D'Andre Swift to Detroit at 35

After pick No. 40 Colin Cowherd joined the conversation and tried to will the Colts to use their No. 41 pick on the Badger running back.
Jonathan Taylor Colts. Please make it happen.

Well, at No. 41, with two running backs already taken off the board, the Colts finally listened.
Here is what Twitter had to say about the selection, and it isn’t unfair to say that the public loved the pick.
"What are they getting?"
They're getting a two-time Doak Walker Award winner, a relentless worker, a humble leader and one of the best teammates you could ask for.@Colts meet @JayT23 pic.twitter.com/VNkRvqSAiE

There wasn't a better landing spot for Jonathan Taylor in my mind than Indy. He'll actually move the needle over Marlon Mack in that offense

Jonathan Taylor to the Colts. Great pick as well. Absolute workhorse. This second round is absolutely stacked.

Jonathan Taylor was a BEAST!!
Consider the CONTEXT:
This Wisconsin offense was so predictable – no talent & ran ALL THE TIME.
He constantly had to produce against defenses anticipating the run.
And yet he still was insanely jacked.
He's going to EAT behind that o-line
