NFL draft order: Cardinals have 2nd, 21st picks as of Week 12

The Arizona Cardinals are not in the playoff race. Fans are not watching to see what needs to happen for the Cardinals to be in the playoff hunt. They have their eyes in the NFL draft.

With two first-round selections in the 2024 draft, where would they pick if the season ended today?

The updated 2024 NFL draft order at the start of Week 12, the Cardinals would hold the second overall pick because of their 2-9 record. It is the second-worst record in the league.

Here is the top 10:

  1. Chicago Bears (from Panthers, 1-9)
  2. Arizona Cardinals, 2-9
  3. New England Patriots, 2-8
  4. Chicago Bears, 3-8 (.469 strength of schedule)
  5.  New York Giants, 3-8 (.519)
  6. Tennessee Titans, 3-7
  7. Washington Commanders, 4-7
  8. Atlanta Falcons, 4-6 (.437)
  9. Green Bay Packers, 4-6 (.485)
  10. New York Jets, 4-6 (.519)

The Cardinals also own the Houston Texans’ pick, who at 6-4, would have the 21st pick in the draft, based on playoff seeding.
