Dallas Cowboys
A quick three-hour trip up I-35 would make plenty of sense for everyone involved. Dak Prescott is the team’s franchise quarterback and was rewarded a lucrative long-term contract this offseason. However, with Andy Dalton leaving in free agency for Chicago, the Dallas Cowboys are left with Garrett Gilbert and second-year quarterback Ben DiNucci in the group.
Each started one game for the Cowboys last season, with Gilbert showing to have much better ability to be the backup over DiNucci. However, with offensive Kellen Moore’s offensive system emphasizing three-wide receiver sets and plenty of downfield throws, as well as designed quarterback runs and run-pass options, this is an offense that Ehlinger could properly develop under.
