NFL Draft 2022 Props: Where will Kyle Hamilton land?

Hamilton had hype as a potential No. 2 pick. Will he even go top 10?

Just because the NFL season ended in February doesn’t mean the league is going to sit back and rest. The offseason dropped some landscape-altering moves that shifted the power balance in a stacked AFC. The 2022 NFL Draft will give teams an opportunity to correct the seismic changes that followed Super Bowl 56.

Kyle Hamilton can be one of those game changers. The Notre Dame safety has been described as the top prospect, regardless of position, by both ESPN and The Ringer. But after an underwhelming pre-draft process, and some slow 40 times, he’s in danger of falling out of the top 10. Is this a nightmare slide as teams prioritize potential over production? Or merely a smokescreen from teams who hope he’ll slide far enough down draft boards to revitalize their defenses?

There’s no over/under available on Hamilton’s draft spot on Tipico, but you can get him at +3000 to be the second overall pick and +2000 to go third overall. He’d land at the center of a defensive rebuild in either spot (Detroit, Houston) and would be a viable pick despite questions about his value as a safety and his relatively slow straight-line speed. While he probably won’t be drafted at either spot, there’s great value in backing a guy like Hamilton — and it would only take one coach or GM to fall in love with his game tape to get there.

The pick: Small bets on Kyle Hamilton to be drafted second overall (+6000) and third overall (+4000). It’s far from a lock, but it would pay off in a big way.
