The city of Las Vegas was awarded the 2020 NFL Draft, but it appears the event won’t be as big as initially planned. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, there will be no public events for the 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas. The draft will continue on the scheduled dates, but there will be no large fan gathering.
The NFL will proceed with its Draft on Apr 23-25 but will canceled public events in Las Vegas. The league is exploring innovative ways for how the process will be conducted.

The NFL is still exploring ways for the event to be televised, but as of now, the league will not have fans present as COVID-19 presents several safety concerns. According to league commissioner Roger Goodell, “this decision reflects our foremost priority-the health and safety of all fans and citizens.”
