NFL analyst rips Steelers quarterback room

Are the Steelers better at quarterback this year than last year?

If anyone should be an expert on bad quarterback play, it might be ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg. As a long-suffering New York Jets fan, he’s seen more than his fair share of terrible quarterback play over the years.

Greenberg was recently on the “Pat McAfee Show” and offered up a scathing analysis of the Steelers quarterback situation. Greenberg made the claim that the Steelers went from having one bad quarterback in Kenny Pickett to two bad quarterbacks in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

This was all in the context of the Brandon Aiyuk situation and while he remains a fan of Fields, he doesn’t hold much hope for the Steelers with their current group of quarterbacks.

The Steelers added Fields and Wilson, along with Kyle Allen in the offseason. Pittsburgh’s front office jettisoned Pickett, Mitch Trubiksy and Mason Rudolph after two straight years of abysmal quarterback play.

Pittsburgh is now preparing to take on the Buffalo Bills in Week Two of the NFL preseason.
