NFC West could go winless in Week 1

The Cardinals, Rams and 49ers all lost their openers. The Seahawks play Monday night and are not expected to win.

The Arizona Cardinals started off their season with a 44-21 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. But even with the loss, they have not fallen behind in the NFC West.

Through Sunday’s games, the division usually considered the best in the league, has gone winless and is expected to finish the week with four 0-1 teams.

The Los Angeles Rams started the season with a 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The San Francisco 49ers lost their season opener 19-10 to the Chicago Bears, while the Cardinals lost 44-21 to the Chiefs at home.

The final game of Week 1 has the Seattle Seahawks facing the Denver Broncos at home. Denver is expected to win that game as it will be quarterback Russell Wilson’s first game against the team he played a decade for.

So while the Week 1 loss for the Cardinals was bad, they aren’t in a bad place in the division.
