One of the best pieces of news that Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks could hope to see finally came out on Monday morning.
Veteran big-man N’Faly Dante announced via social media that he would officially be returning for the 2023-24 season in Eugene and looking after some “unfinished business.”
Dante had his best season in 2022, averaging 13.4 points per game and 8 rebounds. He was the leader of Oregon’s team and proved to be a huge force in the paint for the Ducks.
With him returning, the Ducks now officially bring back Dante, Nate Bittle, and Jermaine Couisnard, a trio of starters from last year. There also seems to be a good chance that they bring back Keeshawn Barthelemy as well.
With those three or four players, the Ducks will also bring in a trio of highly-rated recruits, with Kwame Evans, Mookie Cook, and Jackson Shelstad.
There are still roster spots to figure out, but so far, it looks like the Ducks could be a in a pretty good spot going forward.
